As a county, we want to be prepared to face any emergency or disaster which may affect our way of life. Following a major disaster,
the demands placed on the services provided by law enforcement agencies, fire departments and emergent medical care are
tremendous.
Because these public services can be delayed for any number of reasons during a large scale emergency, it’s important for members of
the community to learn how to care for themselves, their loved ones and their neighbors until help can arrive. CERT classes work to
enhance the safety of all citizens by preparing them for these events.
